A CKD (Completely Knocked Down) Fridge Assembly Line is built around four simple rules:

1. Parts clock-in first
Everything arrives loose. The first station unwraps, sorts and bar-codes each compressor, door skin, liner or drawer so they become traceable “mini-orders”; no complete unit number exists yet.

2. Islands replace a fixed main line
Four independent islands—cabinet prep, door prep, refrigeration module and electrical module—are linked by AGV or EMS shuttles.
Change-over means new software and quick-change fixtures, not line rebuilding, so different sizes, refrigerants or door-handings can flow together.

3. Critical processes plug in and out
Vacuum, refrigerant charge and leak test cells are built on casters like drawers. If the destination country’s regulation changes, the whole cell is rolled out and a new one rolled in overnight.

4. Paperwork travels with the part
Every parts bag carries an e-BOM and an assembly video. The station screen shows “this screw, this torque, this wire colour” in real time, while the system prints the local-assembly certificate the customer needs for customs and duty relief.
