TV Assembly Line

Typical Assembly Line Workflow

A television assembly line typically consists of several main stages:

1. Preparation and Staging
Material Preparation:  All components—such as LCD/OLED panels, mainboards, power supply boards, TCON boards, cabinets (front bezel, rear cover), speakers, cables, ports, and remote controls—are delivered to the line side just-in-time.
Panel Inspection:  The core component, the screen panel, undergoes an initial power-on inspection to ensure no bright spots, dead pixels, scratches, or other defects.

2. Module Assembly Stage
Panel and TCON Board Connection:  The TCON (Timing Controller) board is precisely connected to the screen panel via flexible printed circuits (FPC).
Backlight Assembly (for LCD TVs):  Optical films like the light guide plate, diffuser sheets, and prism sheets are layered onto the backlight unit and combined with the panel to form a complete “display module.”

3. Final Assembly Stage
Installing Internal Chassis and PCBs:  The display module is placed into the front shell or middle frame. Then, the mainboard, power supply board, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module, etc., are installed sequentially.
Cable Connection:  Various wires, flex cables, and connectors are used to link all the PCBs, speakers, control boards, etc.
Speaker and Port Installation:  Speaker units are secured in place, and various ports (e.g., HDMI, USB) are installed into their designated locations on the rear cover.

4. Closing and Fastening Stage
Attaching Rear Cover:  The rear cover is aligned with the front shell and snapped into place.
Screw Fastening:  Automatic or semi-automatic screwdriving machines tighten multiple screws to secure the rear cover, ensuring structural stability and safety.

5. Debugging and Aging Test Stage
Initial Power-On:  The assembled TV is powered up for the first time.
Software Loading and Debugging:  At automated stations, the TV is booted, and the operating system, firmware, and default settings are installed. Preliminary image and sound tests are conducted.

6. Final Inspection and Packaging Stage
Visual Inspection:  Workers visually inspect the TV cabinet and screen for scratches, stains, and assembly flaws.
Final Functional Check:  A quick final confirmation of key functions.
Accessory Assembly:  Attaching the stand or wall-mount brackets to the TV.
Packaging:  Placing the TV into a protective bag, inserting foam padding, the remote control, batteries, power cord, manuals, and other accessories, and finally sealing the carton.
Palletizing and Warehousing:  Packaged TVs are palletized by automated equipment or manually, then transported by forklifts to the warehouse.
